Cookie policy
This page lists everything this website stores on your device or reads from it — cookies and entries in your browser's storage: what each one is for, how long it lasts and whether it needs your consent.
Who we are
The site belongs to „БЪЛГАРИАН ЕКСПЕРТ“ ЕООД (BULGARIAN EXPERT EOOD), UIC (ЕИК) 204290396, registered office: 10 Apostol Karamitev St, floor 5, office 13, Burgas 8000, Bulgaria. Send questions about cookies and personal data to info@bulgarianexpert.com. How we process personal data in general is set out in the Privacy policy.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small file a website saves in your browser. Browser storage works in a similar way: localStorage keeps entries until they are deleted, sessionStorage only while the tab is open. The law (art. 4a of the Bulgarian Electronic Commerce Act and art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC) applies one rule to all of them: without consent, a site may store on your device only what is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for; everything else needs your consent.
What the site stores on your device
| Name | Where, and whose | What for | Lifetime | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| be-cookie-notice | localStorage; this site | Remembers that you closed the cookie information notice. Holds only the notice version and the date | 12 months; after that, or when the notice changes, it appears again | Not needed — without it the notice would reappear on every page |
| be-consent | localStorage; this site | Remembers your answer in the consent window for visit statistics — accepted or declined. Holds only the window version, your answer and the date. Written only when statistics are enabled on the site | 12 months; after that, or when the rules change, the window asks again | Not needed — it is the record of the answer itself: without it the window would ask on every page |
| be.consultation.draft | sessionStorage; this site | A draft of the consultation questionnaire — your answers, the current step, the request number and its access key, the list of attached files — so nothing is lost if the page reloads or you come back from the payment page | While the tab is open; a draft older than 12 hours is not used and is deleted; deleted as soon as the payment is confirmed or you discard the draft | Not needed — it keeps what you type for a service you are ordering |
| be_consultation | Cookie (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax); this site | Links your browser to your request when you go to Stripe's payment page and come back, so the booking opens after payment | 3 hours | Not needed — payment and booking cannot finish without it |
| Staff sign-in cookies (Auth.js: authjs.session-token, over HTTPS __Secure-authjs.session-token, and helpers) and be.admin.draft.* | Cookie and localStorage; this site | Staff sign-in to the private part of the site, and unsaved edits in the page editor. Never set for visitors | Sign-in: 7 days; an unsaved edit: until it is saved, at most 7 days | Not needed |
| _ga, _ga_<ID> | Cookie; Google (Google Analytics) | Visit statistics: tells one visitor from another so page views can be counted | Up to 2 years | Needed. Set only if statistics are enabled on the site, and only after you click «Accept» |
| Calendly calendar | An embedded frame from calendly.com (Calendly LLC, USA) on the payment confirmation page | Choosing the consultation time. Inside the frame Calendly sets its own cookies, uses its own tools (including Google Tag Manager, Google advertising services, Amplitude and OneTrust) and asks for consent in its own window | Under Calendly's rules | Loads only after payment, and only when you open the calendar yourself |
Visit statistics are not enabled on the site at present: the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies are not set at all, and there is no be-consent entry either. The site only shows the information notice and remembers in be-cookie-notice that you closed it.
What we do not use
- Advertising cookies or pixels (Meta Pixel, Google Ads and the like), Yandex Metrica, third-party maps or videos.
- Fonts are served from our own server, not from Google's.
- The payment page is Stripe's website, where Stripe's cookie rules apply.
Changing your choice or deleting entries
- Every page has a button at the bottom that reopens the cookie window. While statistics are not enabled, it reads «Cookies on this site» and shows the information notice again. When they are enabled, it reads «Cookie settings» and opens the window where you can give or withdraw consent; after you withdraw it, the Google Analytics cookies are deleted and the page reloads without them.
- You can delete any cookies and browser-storage entries in your browser's settings. The cookie notice will then appear again, and an unfinished questionnaire draft will be lost.
Changes to this policy
If the set of cookies changes, we update this page and the version number at the bottom. If something that needs consent changes, the cookie window will ask you again.
Version: 2026-10.
