Filing reports for legal entities

We remind you that companies which carried out no activity in 2019, or whose annual turnover did not exceed 500 leva, must report this by 31 March 2020 by publishing the corresponding declaration in the Commercial Register.

By 31 March, companies that carried out no activity in the past year must publish a declaration in the Commercial Register (at the Registry Agency). This can be done in person, online with an electronic signature, or through a lawyer. The good news: from now on there will be no need to declare the absence of activity every year. Companies that file a declaration in 2020 will by default be considered inactive in subsequent years until the first report on the resumption of activity is filed. This also applies to companies whose turnover in 2019 did not exceed 500 leva.

Thus, owners of dormant companies set up solely to purchase land or vehicles will be relieved from 2021 of the tedious obligation to declare the absence of activity. Nevertheless, in 2020 such a declaration must still be filed on time.

Bulgarian Expert reminds all owners of dormant companies of the need to submit the declaration on time. Our experienced accountants are ready to help those who cannot do it themselves.
