To obtain permanent residence, a foreign citizen
must become a co-founder or shareholder of a
company with at least 50% of the capital and
invest at least half a million levs in the capital of a
Bulgarian company. As a result of the
investment, long-term tangible and intangible
assets worth at least 500 thousand levs must be
acquired, as well as at least 10 jobs for Bulgarian
citizens should be opened. These conditions must
be maintained during the entire period of
residence in Bulgaria. To obtain permanent
residence, you must first obtain a Visa D at the
Bulgarian consulate in the country of your legal
stay.
This requires the following documents:

Foreign passport valid for at least 9 months, as
well as a simple photocopy of a spread with
personal data;

Proof of housing in Bulgaria (including rented);

Health insurance for foreigners for a period of
stay in Bulgaria with coverage from 30 thousand
euros;

Bank statement on the availability of an amount
equivalent to 6 minimum Bulgarian salaries on
the account (in 2020, the minimum wage is 610
levs);

Certificate of no criminal record in the country of
residence - translated into Bulgarian and
legalized. It must be issued no earlier than 5
months before filing;

Completed application form with 2 photographs.
